CCWDM module is a wavelength division multiplexing technology based on TFF (Thin Film Filter). It works in
the same way as CWDM modules. The difference is that CCWDM uses free space technology, and its package
size is greatly reduced compared with CWDM modules. , And the insertion loss is lower, and the consistency is
better; it can replace CWDM products in telecommunications, enterprise networks, PON networks and other fields.
CCWDM is a mini version of CWDM. The package size of CWDM is basically 100*80*10mm. In contrast,
the package size of CCWDM is much smaller. The adjacent channels of CCWDM use parallel beams to cascade
in free space instead of optical fibers. Without the optical fiber used for cascading, the size of the CCWDM package
box is 10 times smaller than the standard CWDM package.
The principle of the compact ccwdm coarse wavelength division multiplexer is: use the input lens to focus
the optical signals with wavelengths λ1, λ2...λn on the input fiber to the first filter; the optical signal with wavelength
λ1 passes through the first filter. The filter is coupled to the first output fiber via the first output lens to separate the
optical signal with a wavelength of λ1; the remaining optical signals are reflected from the first glass slide to the next
glass for optical signal separation; and so on , Until all the signals are separated.
