Active Optical Cable


        X-Krama's Active Optical Cables (AOC) uses a length of optical fiber cable to connect two optical transceivers. The signal transmission is carried out with the help of an external power supply. The transmission method is electrical-optical-electrical conversion. The electrical signal is converted into an optical signal in the A connector, and the optical signal is transmitted to the B connector through the middle fiber optic cable, and then
the The optical signal is converted into an electrical signal in the end connector.

        Active optical cable (AOC) has the characteristics of low power consumption, small size, light weight and strong heat dissipation. Compared with copper cables, the transmission distance (up to 100~300m) is longer and
the transmission performance is better. Compared with optical modules, active optical cables do not have the problem of interface contamination, which greatly improves the stability and reliability of the system, and reduces the management cost of the computer room.
